About the Team

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development and optimisation of our onboarding solutions in the Payroll division. This role is part of our newly formed Onboarding/Offboarding team within Payroll.

In this role, you will lead creation of the product roadmap, ensuring our solutions deliver seamless and efficient employer conversions across the UK, AU, and NZ regions. You will work closely with your team to manage products end-to-end, from early-stage research and ideation through to implementation and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will collaborate with other functional teams within the payroll space. You should be comfortable working in complex product areas that require significant collaboration and comprehensive stakeholder management

What you'll do

  • Product strategy: Work with peers across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Developer Relations to define and evolve the Xero’s payroll product with accountability for delivery towards our division’s objectives.
  • Delivery: In collaboration with your engineering and design peers, define and execute on the product roadmap and prioritization to internal partners, including alignment of the payroll onboarding/offboarding strategy with the broader Xero product strategy
  • Results: Be accountable for the commercial success of the products you and your team create and manage, including achieving KPIs and financial targets with close collaboration with our Marketing, Engineering, Partnerships, Developer Relations and other teams

What you'll bring with you

  • Strong experience with agile processes in a software development environment
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups to realise customer / commercial outcomes
  • Solid track record of addressing customer needs through innovative use of technology
  • Effectively influenced outcomes at all levels in a variety of contexts
  • Experience shaping successful product roadmaps and long term planning across multiple or complex products
  • Experience within industry sectors relevant to Xero
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring, supporting and coaching team members
