Carlos Castillo

Carlos Castillo has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to 2022. In 2016, they began working as a Consultor Business Intelligence for Latino BI Consulting and as a Data Analyst (Contractor) for Diageo. For Diageo, they were responsible for ensuring the availability of sales and inventory information for the Colombian market, implementing new distributors in the automation process for different countries, and providing end-user support for commercial applications. Carlos also worked as a GDBS Intern for Diageo, where they were responsible for ensuring the availability of sales and inventory information in the Colombian market, providing user support for platforms and tools, and developing requirements for data quality tools. In 2019, they began working as a Desarrollador BI for Global Wine and Spirits, where they were responsible for developing ETL processes, constructing data warehouses and analysis cubes for consolidating information from different company processes, and creating tracking dashboards and KPIs. Carlos also worked as a Consultor BI (Contractor) for TOTTO, where they implemented MDS (SQL Master Data Services) for managing customer information and consolidated sales and inventory information from international franchises into an analysis model for timely analysis at the required level of detail. Currently, they are working as a Data Engineer for Xertica.

Carlos Castillo has a background in software engineering, having obtained a degree in Ingeniería from Universidad Piloto de Colombia in 2017. Carlos then went on to complete a Diplomado en Big Data & Business Analytics from Universidad Católica de Colombia in 2019. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Platzi, including a Curso de Big Data y Machine Learning con Google Cloud Platform in June 2022, a Curso Profesional de Git y GitHub in February 2022, a Curso de Análisis de Negocios para Ciencia de Datos in January 2022, and a Curso de Economía Digital: Bitcoin y Criptomonedas in November 2021.
