João Correia

João Correia has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. João started their career at PLASMITEC - Plásticos Técnicos do Minho, Lda as a Plastic Injection Machine Operator from March 2007 to September 2008. João then worked at Latourrette Consulting, where they first served as an Intern from November 2013 to November 2014. After that, they worked as a Software Development Consultant from November 2014 to July 2020.

Currently, João is employed at xgeeks as a Software Engineer since July 2020. In this role, they are involved in extending Azure API Manager capabilities, integrating it with external systems using Kotlin with Spring Boot and C#, and utilizing Azure Functions, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes for infrastructure management. João also contributed to the development of "tamanna.com," an online fashion marketplace for the Middle East region, as a backend engineer.

João Correia pursued their education in the field of computer science. João first attended the Polytechnic of Leiria, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering with a focus on Information Systems from 2008 to 2011. João furthered their education at the same institution and completed a Master's degree in Informatics Engineering with a specialization in Mobile Computing from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, João Correia also obtained certifications in the field of computer science. In January 2022, they completed the "Spring & Hibernate for Beginners (includes Spring Boot)" course at Udemy. Furthermore, in May 2020, they successfully finished "The Complete Node.js Developer Course (3rd Edition)" at the same institution.
