Anurag Gupta, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Anurag currently holds the position of Associate Director, Clinical Science at Xilio Therapeutics, Inc. since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Samyang Biopharm USA as the Principal Clinical Scientist, Clinical Development from December 2020 to September 2022. Anurag played a key role in managing clinical trials utilizing medical imaging as an endpoint and was responsible for scientific guidance, reviewer training, and the development of project-specific case report forms.

Anurag also has experience working at Sanofi Genzyme as a Scientist II in 2016, where they contributed to research activities. Prior to that, they worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow - Molecular Imaging at Sanofi from December 2012 to 2015. Anurag'swork during this period involved leading a team in applying physiologically based kinetic modeling to molecular imaging data.

Additionally, Anurag has research experience from their roles at Roswell Park Cancer Institute as a Research Affiliate from August 2007 to November 2012, where they focused on synthesizing and characterizing multifunctional polymeric biodegradable nanoparticles for cancer imaging and therapy, and at UC Irvine as a National Science Foundation (IM-SURE) Fellow in 2006. At UC Irvine, they developed a compact fiber-based Optical Coherence Tomography device for diagnosing diseases and improved its speed and signal-to-noise ratio.

Anurag started their career as a Biomaterials (Collagen) Research Co-Op at Kensey Nash Corporation in 2005, where they conducted data analysis and made design modifications for collagen-based arterial/venous grafts and worked on percutaneous drug delivery samples.

Anurag Gupta, Ph.D., pursued their education in the field of molecular biophysics and biomedical/medical engineering. From 2003 to 2007, they attended the University of Rochester, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Anurag then went on to pursue a higher level of education, enrolling at the University at Buffalo from 2007 to 2012. At the University at Buffalo, Anurag Gupta successfully completed their Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics, specializing in the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
