Susan Uptain, Ph.D.

Susan Uptain, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in program leadership and regulatory operations in the pharmaceutical industry. Susan is currently the Vice President of Program Leadership at Xilio Therapeutics, where they provide strategic guidance for the immuno-oncology portfolio. Susan has also held leadership positions at Takeda, Shire, and Baxalta, where they oversaw regulatory operations and managed teams responsible for regulatory submissions and compliance. Prior to their industry roles, Susan was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago.

Susan Uptain, Ph.D. obtained their Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Susan attended the university from 1992 to 1997. In addition to their Ph.D., Susan Uptain obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Merck Sigma in May 2013.
