Else Driehuis

Else Driehuis is a Clinical Molecular Biologist and Researcher who has worked in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Cambridge. Else is currently the Site Head & Staff Scientist at Xilis B.V. in Amsterdam.

Else has always been interested in the science behind how things work. Else pursued this interest by studying biology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During their time there, they also worked as a student-assistant in the Methodology and Biostatistics department. After graduating, they did a Master internship in the laboratory of molecular biology at the University of Cambridge.

In 2015, Else started working as a researcher in the Clevers group at Hubrecht Institute, Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research. Two years later, they became a Tech Transfer Scientist at Hubrecht Organoid Technology. In 2019, they started working as a Clinical Molecular Biologist Pathology in training at UMC Utrecht.

Else is currently the Site Head & Staff Scientist at Xilis B.V., where they use their skills and knowledge to contribute to the company’s success.

Else Driehuis has a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from Utrecht University. Else also has an MS in Oncology and Cancer Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, as well as a degree in Education from the same school. Finally, they have a BS in Biomedical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Else Driehuis works with Daniel Delubac - COO & VP, Platform, Elena Helman - VP, Data Science & Bioinformatics, and Holly Dressman - Senior Director, Process Engineering. Else Driehuis reports to Xiling Shen, Founder & CEO.
