Sebastian Pretzer

Sebastian Pretzer is a Senior Data Engineer at xilis since August 2022, following a diverse career at Tempus Labs, Inc., where Sebastian held multiple roles from May 2018 to August 2022, including Senior Machine Learning Scientist for both Imaging and NLP, as well as Machine Learning Scientist and NLP Data Science Intern. Previously, Sebastian served as Vice President of Research and Development at Backlight LLC from June 2017 to May 2018. In addition, Sebastian gained research experience as a WebSAIL Research Assistant at Northwestern University, where the focus was on improving model results through alternative word embeddings and syntactic cues under Professor Doug Downey. Sebastian also contributed as a Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University in early 2017. Sebastian Pretzer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Northwestern University.
