Shengli Ding

Shengli Ding is a Senior Manager and Business Development professional at xilis. Shengli has also worked as a Staff Scientist and a Research Assistant Professor & Project Leader at Duke University. Shengli has extensive experience in leading business development projects, designing and developing assays, preparing presentations, and managing labs and staff members.

Ding’s work has focused on identifying genetic and epigenetic signatures in COVID patients samples, validating human cancer signatures using CRISPR knock out targeting genetic/epigenetic markers, developing bio controller close loop system to increase human intestinal defense function, and CRISPR screening and editing on human intestinal to identify therapeutic drug resistance targets.

Ding has also worked on developing “mini organ” technology to screen human cancer drug treatment in high throughput and biobanking human cancer in 3D culture and performing drug assays.

Ding is skilled in all aspects of project management, including contract management, timeline development, budgeting, and presentation skills. Shengli is an expert in their field and is highly respected by their peers.

Shengli Ding has a Ph.D in Human Nutrition from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Shengli also has an M.D. MS in Medicine from Nanjing Medical University. Shengli is certified in Research Mentoring from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and in Teaching from UNC center for Faculty excellence.
