Daniel Drouet

Daniel Drouet has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel is currently serving as the Co-Founder, CTO & Corporate Development at XMachina since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at Centech Mtl, a world-class incubator for startups innovating in hardware and deep tech.

Daniel also worked as an Adjunct Professor at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), one of the largest engineering schools in Canada. In this role, they were responsible for the development and teaching of the Introduction to Entrepreneurship class, focusing on practical application and real-world experience.

Daniel has been actively involved in the non-profit sector as well. Daniel served as a Board Member and later as the Co-Founder, Head of Product and Engineering at Ajah, a company that develops tools and policies for the non-profit sector.

In 2019, Daniel joined Intema Solutions Inc. as the VP of Products, where they were part of a three-person executive team brought in to turn around the failing public company. Daniel performed a competitive analysis of the sector, identified a lucrative new niche, and helped the company gain a competitive advantage.

Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Product and Engineering at Soko, a company providing revenue stream tools for media companies. Daniel was brought in to spin out a technology developed in-house by an agency and played a key role in understanding customer needs and validating assumptions.

Daniel has also been actively involved in mentoring early-stage startups as a Mentor at FounderFuel, a mentor-driven accelerator that helps startups raise seed capital. Additionally, they co-founded IoT Montréal, a non-profit organization focused on stimulating innovation and economic development in the Smart City and Internet of Things (IoT) spaces.

Daniel has also founded their own ventures, including Discoder, a web service that helps companies and recruiters hire top programming talent, and served as a Conseiller stratégique - données ouvertes au Bureau de la ville intelligente et numérique (Strategic Advisor - Open Data) at Ville de Montréal.

Daniel Drouet has pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics from McGill University. The exact duration of their studies and graduation dates are not specified.
