Ming-Fang Wang has been working in the field since 1998, when they began their role as a Second Lieutenant for the Ministry of National Defense R.O.C. In 2000, they moved to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. (TSMC) as an R&D Senior Engineer. In 2005, they became a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Purdue University. In 2008, they took on the role of Postdoctoral at National Chiao Tung University and Senior Research Engineer/Principal Investigator/Project Director at Institute of Microelectronics, A*STAR, Singapore. In 2010, they became a Researcher at Industrial Technology Research Institute. In 2016, they were hired as Manager of Device and Reliability at InvenSense, Inc., where they were responsible for device characterization and reliability assessment on MEMS devices. In 2020, they were hired as Director of Quality Assurance and Reliability and Senior Quality Assurance & Reliability Manager at xMEMS.
Ming-Fang Wang obtained a B.S. in Electronics Engineering from National Chiao Tung University between 1992 and 1996. Ming-Fang then obtained an M.S. in Electronics Engineering from the same institution between 1996 and 1998. Ming-Fang then pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University between 2004 and 2007. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including a Case Method certification from ITRI in 2013, an ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditing Training Course from SGS Group in 2009, a Graduate Student Mentor certification from Purdue University in 2006, and an IEEE Vanguard Series Short Course certification in High-K Gate Dielectrics from IEEE in 2001.
