Amaya Navarro

Amaya Navarro has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Amaya currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at xMentium, starting in April 2022. Prior to this role, Amaya worked at ATB Financial, where they held various positions. Amaya was a Principal Developer at Brightside by ATB from September 2021 to April 2022. Before that, they served as a Lead Developer from October 2018 to August 2021. Amaya also worked as a Programmer Analyst from April 2017 to January 2020 and as a Junior SAP Programmer Analyst from August 2013 to April 2017, both at ATB Financial.

Before their tenure at ATB Financial, Amaya worked as a Front Desk Agent at Travelodge Calgary University from February 2010 to August 2013. Amaya gained experience as a Technical Support Representative at Convergys from November 2008 to November 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Bookland from August 2007 to October 2008. Amaya also gained experience as a Server/Bartender at Firkin Pub from December 2006 to April 2007 and as a Front Desk Agent at Holiday Inn Express from March 2006 to September 2006.

Additionally, Amaya worked at Kilkenny Irish Pub as a Server/Bartender/Cash Person from April 2003 to July 2006 and at Rogers Video as a Customer Service Representative from July 2002 to April 2003. Amaya started their career at Earls Restaurants, where they held various roles including Bartender, Shift Leader, Hostess, and Cash Person, from August 1999 to June 2002.

Amaya Navarro attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2010 to 2012, majoring in Information Technology with a focus on Software Development. Amaya then transferred to Athabasca University from 2012 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Systems. Prior to these academic endeavors, Amaya obtained a Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management from SAIT in Calgary from 1998 to 2000.
