Mark Neary

Mark Neary has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Mark is currently working as a Cloud Infrastructure Architect at XOCEAN since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scientific Data Systems Manager at the National University of Ireland, Galway starting from January 2020.

Mark also has a background in research and academia. Mark worked as a Research Oceanographer at the University of Maine - School of Marine Sciences, starting from May 2016. Before that, they served as a Research Assistant for the same institution from September 2009 to May 2016.

In addition to their research work, Mark founded and served as the CEO of Neary Consulting Ltd from March 2004 to March 2012, providing consulting services. Mark also worked as a Network Administrator at Macalla Software from 2000 to 2004, and at Toshiba International Corporation Pty Ltd - Oceania from 1999 to 2000.

Mark Neary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Computer Science from the University College Dublin, which they obtained during the years 1992 to 1996. Currently, they are a PhD candidate, also in Physical Oceanography, at the University of Maine, working towards obtaining their doctorate.
