Hella Haanstra

Hella Haanstra has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and data science. Hella is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Xomnia, where they started in May 2022. Prior to this, they were employed at Accenture the Netherlands, where they held two roles. Firstly, they worked as a Data Science Consultant from December 2021 to February 2022. Before that, they were a Data Science Analyst from June 2019 to December 2021. Hella also has experience at TNO, where they completed a Graduation Internship from January 2018 to July 2018. During this internship, they worked on a deep learning method for opinion aspect extraction in children's diary entries. Hella began their career as a Head TA Minor Programmeren at the Universiteit van Amsterdam in September 2015, where they managed programming courses, coached students, and developed study material and exams. Hella'stenure at the university ended in December 2017.

Hella Haanstra's education history is as follows:

Hella attended Stedelijk Gymnasium Haarlem from 2005 to 2011, where they pursued a Gymnasium degree with a focus on Natuur & Techniek, Filosofie, and Tekenen.

In 2012, they enrolled at Leiden University and completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Pedagogische wetenschappen in 2016.

During their time at Leiden University, Hella also studied at the University of Amsterdam from 2014 to 2015, where they obtained a Minor Programmeren degree in Informatica.

Afterward, they pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Amsterdam from 2016 to 2018.

Hella has also obtained various certifications in the field of technology. Hella became AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2022. Prior to that, they attained Microsoft certifications: Azure Data Scientist Associate in May 2021 and Azure Data Engineer Associate in April 2021 from Microsoft.
