Saeed Sarpas

Software Engineer at xorlab

Saeed Sarpas is currently working as a Software Engineer at xorlab since November 2021. Prior to this, they were a PhD Student at ETH Zürich from August 2017 to August 2021. Saeed also participated in Innosuisse start-up training at the Swiss Innovation Agency from October 2018 to March 2019. Before that, they worked as a Web Developer at Ambient Innovation from January 2017 to May 2017. Saeed also has experience as a Master Thesis Student at Bonn University, where they conducted research on N-body simulations from March 2016 to March 2017. Saeed worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Argelander-Institut für Astronomie from April 2016 to September 2016, and from October 2015 to March 2016. Furthermore, they gained experience as a Full Stack Developer at Appcube GbR from April 2015 to August 2016. Saeed has also worked as an Intern at AIfA, where they developed a C code for analyzing large-scale structures in the universe from November 2015 to February 2016. Prior to this, they were a Full Stack Developer at Kelasi, where they created a platform for collaborative learning from April 2013 to April 2015. Saeed's work experience also includes teaching Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad at Salam high school, where they prepared gifted students for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics from 2010 to 2014.

Saeed Sarpas began their education journey in 2003 at the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad), where they obtained their High School Diploma in 2007. In 2008, they enrolled at Shahid Beheshti University and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Physics - Solid state in 2013. Following this, in 2013-2014, Saeed pursued a Master's Degree in Physics of complex systems at Shahid Beheshti University. In 2014, they joined The University of Bonn for their Master's Degree in Astrophysics, which they completed in 2017. Finally, from 2017 to 2021, Saeed attended ETH Zürich to obtain their Doctor of Science degree in Extra-galactic Astrophysics.
