Shilpa B

Shilpa B is currently a Manager-Product at Xoxoday. Prior to this, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Monotype from October 2018 to April 2022. There, they improved font rendering performance by 60% by using the recycler list and reducing the time by 84% for font classification processing using a database cache. Shilpa also extensively used chrome dev tools for profiling and debugging purpose. Furthermore, they mentored seniors and juniors to onboard in javascript and held discussions and work packets to help resolve impediments. The technologies & frameworks they used included VueJs, NodeJs, ElectronJs, and PouchDB.

Before Monotype, Shilpa worked as a Software Engineer at V Resorts from July 2017 to October 2018. There, they were responsible for the product: Global Distribution Manager. Shilpa leveraged SailsJs framework for configuration of the product and wrote APIs. Additionally, they developed the client-side view of Booking System uses AngularJs and designed & implemented a message queue system to handle background tasks, like Notifications & generate analytics which helped the system scalable and robust. Shilpa also integrated third-party payment and channel manager integration - Payu, Axis. Lastly, they were responsible for scaling and monitoring application performance. The technologies & frameworks they used included NodeJs, SailsJs, ExpressJs, RabbitMq, AngularjS, with Mysql & MongoDb as their databases of choice.

Shilpa B has a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) from Birla Institute of Technology and a Bachelors of Computer Applications (B.C.A) from Guru Nanak Dev University. Shilpa is certified in Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
