Rafael Meirelles

Rafael Meirelles has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Starting with internships at Value Partners and Itaú Unibanco in 2013, they progressed to roles in Geomarketing at TIM Brasil, Senior Big Data Analyst at Telefônica Brasil, and Data Scientist at Movile. Rafael also worked as a Deep Analytics Consultant and Data Scientist at Nextel Brasil before taking on the role of Data Scientist at Wildlife Studios in 2020. Currently, they are a Lead Data Scientist at XP Inc., where they lead a team applying data-driven analytics to achieve business objectives. Throughout their career, Rafael has developed sophisticated predictive models, performed client segmentation, churn analysis, and geolocation-based behavior prediction.

Rafael Meirelles completed their Bachelor's degree in Statistics at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2013. In 2012, they pursued Advanced English studies at Kaplan University. Subsequently, they obtained a MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021. In 2018, they completed a Data Science for Business Nanodegree Program at Udacity. Additionally, Rafael has acquired various certifications in Data Science and Machine Learning from institutions such as Coursera and DataCamp.
