Zhanlue Zhao

Zhanlue Zhao is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in autonomous systems and sensor fusion. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer at XPENG Motors since January 2021, Zhanlue focuses on localization for autonomous driving. Prior to this role, Zhanlue held senior engineering positions at CEVA, Inc., InterDigital, and Hillcrest Labs, with a strong emphasis on sensor fusion for robotics, camera alignment for AR/VR systems, and mobile context awareness. Zhanlue began a career as a Research Scientist/Engineer at Sentient Science Corporation, leading multiple research projects in data mining, prognosis systems, and uncertainty management. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Stochastic signal processing and information fusion from the University of New Orleans, complemented by a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
