Laura Newton

Laura Newton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advancement and operations, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Advancement Integrated Strategy & Operations at XPRIZE since April 2023. Previously, Laura held roles at Emergency-1 Response, Inc. as Operations Director and Special Projects Manager, and contributed significantly to the American Cancer Society as a Senior Corporate Relations Manager and Development Manager. At Insomniac Events, Laura was instrumental as the Senior Manager of Guest Experience and founded Insomniac Ground Control, promoting a global harm reduction initiative. Additional experience includes positions at Longo Toyota/Scion and Alamitos Bay Yacht Club. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Marketing from California State University, Long Beach, a professional certificate in Grant Writing from San Diego State University, and completed the Riordan Leadership Institute with the Southern California Leadership Network.
