Bob Regan

Sr. Director Of Product at XQ Institute

Bob Regan has a diverse work experience in the education and technology fields. Starting in 1994, they served as the Mathematics Department Chair and Director of Technology at Saint David's School, where they led a major technology integration effort and developed an integrated course. From 1995 to 1998, they were an Adjunct Professor of Education at Adelphi University. Then, from 1999 to 2001, they worked at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Senior Learning Technology Consultant, providing training and consultation on web and digital media integration.

In 2001, Bob joined Adobe Systems, where they held various roles including Product Manager and Senior Product Manager, focusing on accessibility, education, and government. Bob also worked as a Solutions Architect and Group Product Manager, leading the development of customer support systems and coordinating product feature requirements across different verticals.

In 2011, Bob joined Pearson Foundation as the Director of Product Development, leading the creation of content and technology for new math and ELA curricula. Bob led the initial work to develop courses to be taught using tablets in classrooms.

In 2013, Bob joined Gates Ventures as the Director of Education. Bob played a significant role in the creation and expansion of the Big History Project, which later evolved into the OER Project. Bob also led the development of the World History Project, a widely taught course in the United States. Bob focused on refining professional development approaches and helped facilitate the transition to teaching at a distance during the pandemic.

In 2023, Bob took on the role of Principal and Founder at Learning Hive, and later became the Senior Director of Product at XQ Institute.

Bob Regan completed their high school education at Geneva Community High School from 1984 to 1988. Bob then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and French at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1988 to 1992. Later, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, from 2003 to 2004.
