Jakub Kowalski has a diverse work experience in the field of software and hardware engineering.
In 2014, Jakub worked as a Summer Intern at ARM, where they focused on C++ branch prediction modelling. Jakub developed a framework to compare different designs and configurations of branch predictors.
In 2015, Jakub returned to ARM as a Summer Intern in the modelling team. Jakub implemented support for extraction of key RTL events during program execution, which were used for correlation between an RTL and a cycle-accurate model of a processor.
From 2016 to 2018, Jakub worked at ARM as a Hardware Intern. During this time, they were part of the Processor Design and Verification division, contributing to their MEng project and thesis. Jakub analyzed potential improvements and made additions to the ISA-Formal verification technique. Jakub also gained knowledge in formal and RTL verification, scripting languages, and technical writing.
In 2017, Jakub joined GlobalLogic Poland as a Senior Software Engineer. Jakub developed embedded software for a digital signal processor by NXP Semiconductors, focusing on C programming, assembly-level development, and handling interfaces with system components.
Starting in 2020, Jakub worked as a Software Engineer at Sii Poland, where they developed software solutions and collaborated with international teams. Jakub worked closely with architects and RTL designers to deliver architectural models and supported compiler development.
Currently, Jakub works at Xsight Labs LTD as a System Validation Engineer, starting in April 2022. Additional information about this role is not provided.
Overall, Jakub has gained valuable expertise in software and hardware engineering through their various roles and experiences at different companies.
Jakub Kowalski attended The University of Edinburgh from 2012 to 2017, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronics & Software Engineering.
