Asli Sonceley has a varied work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. In 2008, they interned and was an assistant to Sonny Mallhi and Gabriel Mason at Vertigo Entertainment. In 2009, they were an assistant editor at Fancy Film and an intern/temp assistant to Adam Goldworm at Aperture Entertainment. Asli then co-founded Fake Crow in 2009 and served as the Account Director and Co-Founder, Content Manager. In this role, they signed startups and established companies and developed prototypes, decks and storylines that helped clients raise funds or get approval for new projects. In 2010, they worked as a New Media Project Manager at Illumin8 Creative, where they assisted in establishing work-flow and procedures, and coordinated with clients. In 2011, they were the Director of Development at Plus90 Entertainment, representing director Omer Faruk Sorak and Bocek Yapim's work in Los Angeles. Asli developed feature film projects and supervised owned properties and further developing scripts. In 2016, they co-founded Xtensio and executed an early inbound lead generation strategy that brought in 250,000 users organically in the first two years. In 2018, they joined the Wondros team for the National Institutes of Health's All of Us Research Program campaign as a Creative Assets Producer. In 2020, they were a Resident Artist at Arteles Creative Center, where they focused on investigating the links between mental health and environmental health. Asli also became a Resident Artist at An Independent Artist Collective.
Asli Sonceley's education history includes a High School degree from Galatasaray Lisesi from 1996 to 2004, a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies and Psychology from Wesleyan University from 2004 to 2008, a Post-Grad Certificate in Business and Management of Entertainment from the University of California, Los Angeles from 2010 to 2011, and a current enrollment in the Climate Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies since 2022. In addition, Asli Sonceley has obtained several certifications, including a Climate Reality Leader certification from The Climate Reality Project in October 2021, Qualitative Research Methods from UvA in June 2020, Research for Impact from the University of Cape Town & Oxfam in January 2020, Quantitative Methods from UvA in December 2019, Introduction to Philosophy from The University of Edinburgh in March 2019, and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from the University of Michigan in March 2019.
