Arjan van der Plaats

Arjan van der Plaats, PhD has held various roles in the field of research and development. Currently, they serve as the Research and Development Director at XVIVO Perfusion, starting in September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Organ Assist from 2005 to 2020, where they held the positions of Chief Technology Officer from June 2015 to September 2020 and R&D Manager from April 2005 to June 2015. Their career began at the University Medical Center Groningen in 1997, where they worked as a Researcher from March 1997 to April 2005. During this time, they also pursued their PhD, which was completed in 2005.

Arjan van der Plaats, PhD completed their education in a chronological manner. Arjan began their academic journey at the University of Twente, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1991 to 1997. Afterwards, they enrolled at the University of Groningen, where they obtained their PhD in Medical Sciences. Arjan dedicated six years, from 1999 to 2005, to their doctoral studies at the University of Groningen.
