Giampiero Carlacci

Giampiero Carlacci has a long and varied career in the financial services industry. Giampiero began their career in 1997 as an Aviere in the Italian Air Force. In 2000, they joined Reconta Ernst & Young as an Auditor, focusing on the asset management sector. That same year, they joined The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as an Analyst, eventually becoming a Principal. In 2008, they joined UniCredit, where they held several "Head of" roles on Risk Management at Group, Eastern Europe Region and CIB level. These roles included reporting and monitoring of loan loss provisions, expected loss, asset quality, RWA, capital shortfall, integrated monitoring and reporting of credit, market and operational risks, corporate and investment banking portfolio monitoring, and managing risk regulations implementation. Giampiero also served as a Senior Manager for UniCredit Management Consultancy, focusing on risk management and compliance risk. In 2017, they joined XY SA as a Partner & Managing Director.

Giampiero Carlacci obtained a Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Sapienza Università di Roma between 1991 and 1998, with a focus on Banking and Accounting. Giampiero then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from LUISS Business School in 1999, with a focus on Finance. In 2011, Giampiero attended London Business School for a training program in Market Driving Strategies - Innovation. In 2012, they attended INSEAD for a training program in Risk Management in Banking - Asset & Liability Management. Giampiero then completed a training program in Credit Risk Diploma Path - Scoring and Rating (SDA Bocconi & UniCredit Risk Academy) at SDA Bocconi in 2014. Finally, in 2016, they attended UniCredit Compliance Academy for a training program covering the full spectrum of Compliance Risk topics.
