Stefano Piomarta, FRM, ERP has over 30 years of work experience in the financial services sector. Starting in 1988, they worked as a Bank Officer at EFG Bank. In 1998, they moved to Julius Baer as an Assistant Vice President at Julius Baer Investment Funds Services Ltd. In 2002, Stefano joined StepStone Group as a Director and Partner. In 2009, they were appointed as Head of Business Development at Hedge Invest Financial Advisors SA. In 2010, they became Head of Sales Institutional at State Street Global Advisors AG. Stefano Piomarta has a diverse educational background, beginning with a degree in Political Science and Economics from Università degli Studi di Milano, obtained between 1989 and 1995. Stefano then pursued an MBA from SDA Bocconi, which was completed in 1997-1998. Following this, they completed an MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 1996-1997. In 2003-2008, they obtained a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, which they were certified for in September 2008. In 2009, they obtained a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the GARP FRM Program and was certified for it in 2010. In 2018-2019, they obtained an Energy Risk Professional (ERP) from the GARP ERP Program, which they were certified for in 2020. Finally, they are currently pursuing a Sustainability and Climate Risk degree from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), which they are expected to complete in 2022-2024. Additionally, they are a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Level II candidate from the CAIA Association, which they are expected to complete in 2022-2023.
