Rae Slager

Rae Slager has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. From 2016 to 2017, Rae was the Website Manager and Lead Poetry Editor for Straylight Magazine, where they managed publication projects, generated new content, and managed writers. From 2017 to 2018, Rae worked as a Dance Instructor and Front Desk Host for Kenosha Academy of Performing Arts, where they managed 425 family accounts with 700+ students and assisted with event planning and coordination. From 2018 to 2020, Rae was the Dance Instructor at Midwest Dance Center, teaching lessons for ages 3-16 and creating and implementing syllabi with adaptations made yearly. From 2020 to 2021, Rae was the Bakery Manager and Social Media Assistant at Cozzi Cafe & Bakeshop, overseeing daily bakery operations and communicating needs of clients to necessary departments while also assisting with product photography and editing for social media content. From 2021 to 2022, Rae was the Marketing & Recruiting Coordinator at Yahara Software, managing inbound conversations across the platform and increasing networking as well as email, phone, desk, and newsletter communication. Currently, Rae is a Dance Instructor and Choreographer at Fusion Dance Academy.

Rae Slager attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 2016-2020, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in English, with a Digital Media and Production (DMAP) Minor and a Creative Writing Certificate. In April 2020, they obtained a Youth Protection Advocate in Dance certification from Youth Protection Advocates in Dance. In October 2019, they obtained an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross.
