Marzia Polito

Marzia Polito currently serves as the Head of Engineering and Science (interim) and Senior Director of Engineering for AI applications at Yahoo since November 2024. Prior to this, Marzia held a lecturer position at Caltech from April 2024 to April 2025, teaching 'Introduction to Deep Learning,' and completed a sabbatical at the Caltech Vision Lab. Marzia's experience includes a role as Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google from August 2021 to March 2024 and as Senior Manager of Applied Science at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from June 2020 to July 2021. Marzia holds a PostDoc degree in Mathematics, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning from Caltech, as well as a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Scuola Normale Superiore.
