Aishwarya Iyer

Vice President at Yale Graduate Student Consulting Club

Aishwarya Iyer has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Aishwarya is currently serving as the Vice President of the Yale Graduate Student Consulting Club since January 2023. Prior to this, they were the Chair of the Gordon Research Conferences starting from July 2022. Additionally, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from February 2022 to June 2022, and again from June 2023 to December 2023. Aishwarya has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Yale School of the Environment from January 2020 to December 2022. Their previous experiences include being the President of the International Society for Industrial Ecology - ISIE from October 2020 to November 2021, and a Young Summer Scientist at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) from June 2019 to August 2019. Furthermore, Aishwarya held various roles at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, including Cabinet Head, Department Academic Mentorship Program, Institute Student Mentor Program (July 2017 to June 2018), Institute Student Mentor, Institute Student Mentorship Program (July 2016 to June 2018), Teaching Assistant (April 2017 to May 2018), and Coordinator, Department Academic Mentorship Program (June 2016 to May 2017). Aishwarya also gained experience as a Summer Intern at the University of Alberta in May 2016 and as a Winter Intern at Deear Group in December 2015.

Aishwarya Iyer pursued a B.Tech - M.Tech (Dual Degree) in Energy Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 2013 to 2018. Aishwarya then went on to study at Yale University, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Industrial Ecology from 2018 to 2024.
