David Francis

David Francis serves as the Residential College Dean and Lecturer in The Program in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration at Yale University since August 2018. Prior to this role, David held various positions at Harvard University from 2010 to May 2018, including Departmental Teaching Fellow and Chair and Senior Resident Tutor for Fellowships at Pforzheimer House, earning 8 Certificates of Distinction in Teaching. Additional experience includes work as a Traveling Scholar at El Colegio de México, Faculty on Semester At Sea, Teaching Assistant at the University of Virginia, and Departmental Research Assistant at Columbia University. David holds a PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from Harvard University, a Master’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Virginia, an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University, and a BA in English Language and Literature and Spanish from the University of Virginia.
