Jon Mallen is currently a Ph.D. student at Yale University, focusing on developing novel computational methods for single-cell multi-omics under the guidance of Sidi Chen. Previously, Jon served as a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences, where significant research on the human genome and regulatory networks was conducted. Jon has extensive teaching experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Brown University in both Inorganic Chemistry and Introductory Chemistry courses and has contributed to research projects in various capacities, including developing a Python package for gene regulatory networks and working in different laboratories across fields of physics and microbiology. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics - Biology from Brown University and is pursuing a Doctorate in Computational Biology and Biomedical Informatics at Yale University.
