Timothy Bisakaya

Timothy Bisakaya serves as the President and Head of Secretariat at Africa Co-operative Consortium (AFRICOOP) since July 2020, and has held multiple leadership roles including Coordinator of the YSI Cooperative Working Group at the Institute for New Economic Thinking since November 2019, and Young African Leaders Initiative Fellow in 2019. Additionally, Timothy is the Executive Director of Co-operative Training and Development at Co-optkam Company Limited, a Sub-Saharan Africa Research Consultant for the U.S. Overseas Cooperative Development Council, and has contributed as a National Co-operative and Credit Union Specialist in Kenya. With a strong educational background, Timothy holds a Master of Co-operative Management from The Co-operative University of Kenya, along with various certifications in public policy, agricultural economics, and monitoring and evaluation.
