Daouda Thioye has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and teaching. Daouda started their career in 2015 as an Intern Research Assistant at IRD. Since then, they have worked as a Data analyst intern at Cerema in 2016 and as a Data Scientist intern at Orange in 2017. At Orange, they contributed to the specification of scores' requirements and built migration scores using R and Python. In 2017, they joined TNP Consultants as a Data Scientist consultant, where they worked on projects involving social media analytics and storage optimization for used vehicles.
In 2019, Daouda joined FutureScore.io as a Senior Data Scientist, focusing on the implementation of predictive models, processing of survey data, and sales potential prediction for fashion products. Daouda also played a role in model deployment and visualization of results. Concurrently, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ecole nationale de la Statistique et de l'Analyse de l'Information, providing support in teaching activities.
In 2021, Daouda became a Mentor IA - Assessor at OpenClassrooms, where they mentored and assessed students in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Daouda also took on a teaching role at HETIC during this time. Currently, they are working as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Yassir (YC W20), starting from March 2022. In the future, they are expected to join EDC Paris Business School as a Teacher from March to June 2023.
Daouda Thioye pursued their education in a chronological manner, with their most recent academic experience taking place from 2015 to 2017 at ENSAI. During this period, they acquired an Engineer degree and a Master of Science (MS) in Data Science. Before that, from 2015 to 2016, they studied at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Applied Economics. Daouda's earlier education, spanning from 2011 to 2015, was completed at the Ecole nationale de la Statistique et de l'Analyse Economique, where they earned an Engineer's degree in Statistics and Business Intelligence.
In addition to their formal education, Daouda Thioye has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course offered by deeplearning.ai on Coursera. Daouda also earned certificates for completing courses such as "Creating Dashboards and Storytelling with Tableau" in 2018, "Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach" in 2016, "R Programming" in 2014, and "Regression Models" in 2014. These certifications further demonstrate Daouda's commitment to expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of data science.
