Tess M Yerby

Tess M Yerby is a seasoned professional in recruitment and admissions, currently serving as the Senior Director of Recruitment and Admissions at Year Up since February 2022. In this role, Tess provides leadership to a recruitment and admissions team, driving comprehensive strategies to meet enrollment targets for program-interested students. Prior experience includes positions as Director of Membership Marketing & Recruitment at Leadership for Educational Equity, where Tess developed marketing strategies for new member recruitment, and as Director of Recruitment Innovation at Teach For America, overseeing projects aimed at enhancing diversity and anti-racist recruitment practices. Tess began a career in education as a Corps Member with Teach For America, teaching Spanish, and has also contributed to leadership development initiatives within schools. Tess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The George Washington University.
