Daniel Holland

Daniel Holland is a Commercial Plant Scientist at Yellow Brick Capital (UK) Limited since July 2023, specializing in the research and development of plant sensor technology for real-time monitoring of plant health and environmental conditions, while serving as a liaison between scientific and commercial teams. Previously, Daniel held a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Epigenetics and Genetics Group at the University of Cambridge from July 2018 to September 2022, focusing on the genetic analysis of apple chromosome regions. As a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, Daniel employed next-generation sequencing to investigate plant reproduction in crop species, developing advanced computational tools in Python and Conda. Daniel's industrial placements at KWS Group involved trait genetics and wheat breeding, contributing to genomic analysis and selection for improved crop yield. Additionally, clinical research experience includes roles at Royal Holloway, University of London, and Semmelweis University. Daniel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Genetics from the University of Cambridge and a degree from Royal Holloway, University of London.
