George Kisaka

George Kisaka has a diverse work experience spanning several years. George is currently serving as the Vice President of ISACA Kenya Chapter, where they focus on creating a secure and transparent digital space. Prior to this, they worked at Yellow Card App as an Information Security GRC Specialist, where they provided advisory and assurance services in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance.

George also held positions at Airtel Kenya, where they served as the Head of Risk & Compliance, overseeing enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance for Airtel Money business in Kenya and international money remittance. George was responsible for embedding enterprise risk management, implementing the organization's compliance framework, and acting as the organization's MLRO.

Before joining Airtel Kenya, George worked at Britam as the Internal Audit Manager - IS Audit & Forensics. George was responsible for managing fraud risk and ensuring compliance with information systems policies and procedures. In addition, they led project assurance activities for digital projects across the enterprise. Prior to this, at Britam, they held the position of Internal Audit Manager - IS Audit, where they focused on assuring compliance and mitigating risk related to the group's information systems.

George began their career at NAS Airport Services Ltd as an Information Systems Auditor, where they conducted risk assessments, audits, and implemented recommendations to improve processes and procedures.

George Kisaka, IRMCert, CISA, PMP®, holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in IT, which they obtained from Strathmore University between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their academic qualifications, George has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include the Agile Fundamentals: Including Scrum and Kanban certification from Udemy in 2022, the International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management in 2023, the Advanced Agile: Leadership Techniques certification from Skillsoft in 2022, the Digital Risk Management Certificate from the Institute of Risk Management in 2021, the Building Your Visibility as a Leader certification from LinkedIn in 2020, the ITIL-v3 certification from EXIN in 2012, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in 2010, and the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2016.
