Richard Schoeman

Richard Schoeman's work experience starts in 2001 when they worked as a Performance Analyst at Barclays Global Investors Finance Limited. Richard then worked as a Property Investment Advisor at Informatica International in 2002. In 2003, they became a Corporate Finance Analyst at Marriott Merchant Bank, where they analyzed the SA Listed property market and oversaw audits of financial structures. Richard also served as the Financial Director at Adept Airmotive, a company involved in the design and manufacture of General Aviation engines. At Grindrod, they served as the Head of Treasury and was responsible for the Treasury and Risk function for multiple divisions and companies across different countries. Richard was a Financial Director at Hodari Properties and later at Hodari Africa, where they were also a Director and a shareholder. At Tanglewood Private Equity Company, they served as a Director and was involved in various aspects of the investment process. Most recently, they have worked as a Consultant at The Treasury Counsel Africa and as the Interim Chief Financial Officer and Head of Treasury at Yellow Card App.

Richard Schoeman completed their Bachelor of Business Science degree at the University of Cape Town from 1997 to 2000. During this time, they studied finance, accounting, economics, business strategy, and law. Prior to attending university, they attended Hilton College from 1993 to 1996, although the degree name and field of study for this period are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained several certifications. In February 2022, they completed SAP ERP Essential Training through LinkedIn. In March 2022, they obtained certifications in Agile Foundations, Audit and Due Diligence: Priorities and Best Practices, Business Analysis Foundations, Developing Your Emotional Intelligence, Foundations of Working Capital Management, and What Is a PMO?, all through LinkedIn.
