Umer Farooq

As the Country Director for Pakistan at Yellow Door Energy, Umer is responsible for managing investments in Pakistan to help commercial and industrial sectors transition to solar power. With over 13 years of experience in renewable energy and telecommunications spanning three continents, Umer possesses an in-depth understanding of customer needs and brings forth the best solutions for his customers.

Prior to joining Yellow Door Energy, Umer was the Chief Executive Officer for Intelli Energie, an energy company, and Astrodome, an infrastructure investment organization. He also worked as the CEO of GreenIndusTree, a Germany solar company, for its local operations in Pakistan. During his tenure, Umer collaborated with Aleo, Kaco and Hoppecke in supply chain management.

Umer holds a Master of Professional Accounting from University of New South Wales, Australia, a Master of Science in International Financial Management from University of London, UK and a Bachelor of Engineering from University of the Punjab, Pakistan.
