Allie Lazar has been a professional in the food and travel industry since 2007. Allie began their career as a freelance writer, contributing writing and photography to publications such as the New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Eater, National Geographic Traveller, Vice Munchies, Google Arts & Culture, Saveur, Lucky Peach, Food & Wine, The Guardian, Serious Eats, New York Post, Roads & Kingdoms, BBC Travel, La Nacion, Clarin, Travel + Leisure, The Independent, The World's 50 Best Restaurants blog, and more. Allie was also the Food & Drinks editor of Time Out Buenos Aires magazine. In 2010, they began working as a Professional Eater for Pick Up The Fork, an award-winning Argentina-based food blog that has been featured on publications like the New York Times, Rolling Stone Magazine, New York Magazine, Travel + Leisure, Netflix, The Guardian, Bon Appétit, Condé Nast, The Travel Channel, Saveur, and The Daily Beast. Allie also organizes highly customized food tours and culinary excursions based in Buenos Aires and Mendoza, and is the co-creator of Argentina's first US-style donut shop, Donut Therapy. In 2021, Allie Lazar became the Head of Content at YesChef.
Allie Lazar attended Highland Park High School from 2000 to 2004 and graduated with a High School Diploma. Allie then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Latin American Studies. In 2006 and 2007, they also attended the University of Buenos Aires.
