Furkan BEKTES

Furkan Bektes has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and security industry. Furkan is currently a member of the Synack Red Team, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, Furkan worked as a Smart Contract & Web3 Auditor at Immunefi starting from January 2022. Before joining Immunefi, they worked as a Security Researcher at several organizations including HackerOne, Bugcrowd, Intigriti, and YesWeHack.

Furkan also has experience as a Co-Founder at SourceAI, a company that developed an AI-powered tool for code generation, error fixing, and debugging. Furkan co-founded SourceAI in January 2021.

Earlier in their career, Furkan worked as a Mobile Network and Security Engineer at SFR from August 2018 to August 2021. Furkan also gained development experience as an intern at Orange in April 2018. Prior to that, they worked in Radio Network Planning & Optimization at Orange Luxembourg in July 2016.

Furkan Bektes has an extensive education history in the field of engineering and cybersecurity. Furkan started their educational journey in 2013 by completing their Baccalauréat in the scientific field at High School. From 2016 to 2018, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Networks & Telecommunications at IUT Nancy-Brabois. This provided him with a strong foundation in the field.

In 2018, Furkan enrolled in ESIEE PARIS, where they spent three years studying Networks & Cybersecurity. During this time, they gained in-depth knowledge and skills in managing and securing network systems. This diploma further enhanced their understanding of the field.

In 2020, they joined Université Gustave Eiffel to pursue a Diploma in Engineering with a focus on Cybersecurity. This program allowed him to specialize in protecting and securing information systems against cyber threats. Their studies at this institution lasted until 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Furkan Bektes obtained several certifications relevant to their field. In June 2019, they achieved the Certificat Voltaire (727) from Certificat Voltaire, showcasing their proficiency in written French. Furkan also obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification from Cisco in December 2020, demonstrating their competence in network administration using Cisco technologies.

Furthermore, Furkan gained the JNCIA-Junos certification from Juniper Networks in October 2021, certifying their understanding of Juniper Networks routers and Junos software. Additionally, they received the Certified Ethical Hacker certification from EC-Council in June 2021, confirming their expertise in ethical hacking methodologies and techniques.

To enhance their language skills, Furkan successfully completed the TOEIC (820) exam conducted by ETS Global in April 2021, showcasing their English language proficiency.
