Marc McCann has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.
Starting in 2011, Marc worked as a Graduate Assistant at James Madison University. In 2012, they transitioned to Academy School District 20 as a Language and Literature Teacher, where they stayed until 2016.
From 2013 to 2015, Marc also held the role of Lead Instructional Coach and CityROCK Climbing Team Coach at CityROCK Climbing Center.
In 2016, Marc joined NoRedInk as a Manager in Customer Success, later becoming the Head of Professional Learning. Marc successfully scaled the team and implemented training programs for teachers, achieving high satisfaction rates. Marc left NoRedInk in 2022 after launching and managing their Professional Learning team.
From 2022 to 2023, Marc worked as a Learning and Development Manager, Leadership Development at Homeward.
In 2021, Marc founded StepOutside, focusing on building resilient and adaptable leaders through inclusive outdoor experiences. The company provided training and coaching to enhance self-awareness and authentic connection in small groups.
Currently, Marc is working as a Learning and Development Manager at YETI, starting in 2023.
Marc McCann completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature/Letters at James Madison University from 2007 to 2011. Marc then pursued a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching at the same university from 2011 to 2012.
