Tara de Nicolas has held a variety of roles throughout their work experience. Tara most recently joined Yext in 2022 as the Vice President of Demand Generation Marketing. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, they worked at Elastic, first as the Sr. Director of Growth Marketing and then as the Sr. Director of Demand Generation.
Before Elastic, Tara worked at Amazon from 2016 to 2021, where they held several positions. Tara started as the Head of AWS Americas Marketing Digital Marketing, Campaigns, Paid Media, and Events. Tara'sresponsibilities included leading a team of over 50 digital marketing managers, campaign managers, paid media managers, and event managers. Tara oversaw virtual and live events to support the cloud services business and also led the development of executive event content strategy. In 2020, their scope expanded to include leading Americas Marketing Digital Marketing, Campaigns, and Paid Media, as well as all AMER Field Events.
Tara's earlier experience includes working at Thor Equities as the Director of Capital Markets from 2015 to 2016, and at Georgetown Consulting Group from 2013 to 2015, where they served as Principal. At Georgetown Consulting Group, they focused on marketing and PR for tech and lifestyle products. Tara developed media strategies, complied with regulatory requirements, and cultivated relationships with high-net-worth investors, among other responsibilities. Tara also worked with various clients to create marketing plans and secure media placements.
Tara began their career in 2006 at Humane Rescue Alliance, where they held the roles of Executive Director of Fashion for Paws and Director of Marketing & Communications. In these positions, they created a luxury fashion-focused marketing and crowdfunding platform, secured media placements, and managed crisis communications campaigns.
Tara has earlier experience at FOX WTTG as an Account Executive in 2006 and at Washington Life magazine as an Advertising Manager from 2005 to 2006. In these roles, they managed advertising accounts and generated advertiser-related content and materials.

Tara de Nicolas completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology at George Mason University from 2002 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Leadership with a focus on Business Leadership at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2011 to 2013.
