Matthew McNeil has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Matthew began their career as a Senior Project Architect at Stanisic Turner Architects in 1996 and later worked as a Senior Project Architect at DJRD Architects from 1998 to 2002. In 2002, they joined FITZROY ROBINSON LIMITED as a Senior Architect for a brief period. From 2003 to 2018, they worked at AJ+C as a Senior Associate and Project Architect. In 2019, they became a University Teacher at UNSW until 2020. Matthew also worked as a Specification Writer at AJ+C for a few months in 2020. Since 2021, they have been a Senior Project Officer at NSW National Parks - Education. In 2022, they took on the role of Vice President at YHA Australia, and concurrently served as a Director on the Board of Directors until 2022. Matthew is currently employed as a University Lecturer at the University of Sydney since 2018. Additionally, they serve as an Architectural Practice Examination Assessor at the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia since 2020.
Matthew McNeil has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from UNSW. In 2007, they became a Green Star Accredited Professional through the Green Building Council of Australia. In 2013, they completed the Project Managers Essentials course from PSMJ. In 2015, they attended the Foundations of Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, focusing on governance, financials, strategy, and risk. In 2018, they furthered their education in governance by completing the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2021, they obtained a PM Fundamentals degree from Elemental Projects, specializing in project management. Matthew also holds additional certifications as a Procore Certified Project Manager from Procore Technologies and as a Registered Architect from the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia.
