Kris Kosmala

Kris Kosmala has extensive experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. Kris is currently serving as the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at YILPORT Holding Inc. In this role, they focus on utilizing digital innovations to improve the efficiency and productivity of the terminals and ports operated by the company.

Prior to their current position, Kris worked as an Advisor at Marine Digital, where they focused on utilizing artificial intelligence and mathematical optimization to transform ship's performance data into decision-quality insight. Kris also played a key role in developing initiatives to reduce carbon emissions in seaborne supply chains.

Before Marine Digital, Kris served as an Advisor at Macomi, where they worked on solutions for port call optimization and vessel movement. Kris also utilized mathematical optimization for digital twinning of operations and simulations.

Kris has also held positions as an Advisor at Bunkerchain, a Board Member at Holo Sail Technologies, Inc., and an Ambassador at Connected-Ports. In these roles, they focused on developing innovative solutions for supply chain visibility, port efficiency, and reducing pollution arising from port operations.

Furthermore, Kris has experience as a Partner at Click & Connect, where they assisted investors in understanding startup opportunities in supply chain, logistics, and transportation. Kris also helped startups in the industry develop roadmaps, market positioning, and commercial offers. Kris has also taken on interim roles as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Digital Officer to support digital transformations.

Earlier in their career, Kris served as a Strategic Advisor in Commercial and Sales at BunkerMetric, where they used mathematical optimization to find optimal bunker plans for vessels. Kris also worked as the Director of Smart Port Operations at Royal HaskoningDHV, focusing on applying advanced information technologies and engineering to optimize port and terminal operations.

Kris's career began at Quintiq, where they held the role of Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific and was a member of the Management Board. Kris specialized in providing mathematical optimization solutions for complex planning and scheduling problems.

Throughout their career, Kris Kosmala has consistently utilized their expertise in digitalization, mathematical optimization, and innovative technologies to drive efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in the logistics and supply chain industry.
