Dawn Ward Cbe Dl

Dawn Ward CBE DL currently serves as Chairman of Birmingham Hospice and has held various board positions, including Board Member of YMCA England & Wales and Chair of YMCA Heart of England since December 2019 and September 2022, respectively. Dawn has been Chair of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics and Deputy Chair for Europe since May 2020, and also serves as Deputy Chair of The Chartered Institution for Further Education. With extensive experience in higher education, Dawn served as Chief Executive of Burton and South Derbyshire College from November 2008 until July 2024, and previously held leadership roles at Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership, Staffline Group PLC, Royal Forest of Dean College, and Warwickshire College Group. Dawn holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University and a foundational education from Cardinal Wiseman Girls School and North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College.
