Richard Nerurkar

Richard joined the YMCA DLG Board in September 2014. Richard has a background in sport and event management and is now working in the travel industry. As an athlete he competed on the British athletics team in the 1990s and competed at two Olympic Games. He then worked in Ethiopia for ten years, setting up a series of mass-participation running competitions. Since his return to the UK, he has switched his focus to travel selling running and cycling tours to international travellers, working closely with colleagues on the ground in Ethiopia.
