Aimee Bartels has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic planning and employee engagement. Aimee is currently the Director of Human Resources at the YMCA of Central Kentucky, a role they have held since December 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Human Resources Consultant and then as the Director of Human Resources at Community Ventures from October 2017 to November 2019. Aimee also served as a Human Resources Manager at Manufacturing Organizations, where they managed recruitment, benefits, compensation, and employee relations, focusing on transforming the organization from a transactional to a strategic approach. Before that, they worked as a Corporate Recruiter at Lexmark International, Inc., where they delivered full life-cycle recruiting for various departments. Aimee started their career as a Human Resources Generalist at L-3 Communications (SOFSA Contract), where they gained experience in recruitment, retention, employee relations, and workforce analysis. Aimee also served as a Benefits Specialist at General Cable earlier in their career.
Aimee Bartels received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts/Human Resources from Georgetown College, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.
