Neil Haynes

Neil Haynes is currently the Treasurer at YMCA of Greater Boston, a position they have held since August 2014. Prior to that, Neil had a long and successful career at Sun Life Financial, where they served as SVP, Finance, Corporate Finance from November 2010 to August 2014. In this role, Neil was responsible for the company's corporate controller, financial planning and analysis, investment finance, and disclosure.

From October 2008 to October 2010, Neil served as SVP and CFO of SLF Canada. In this role, they were responsible for finance, actuarial, and risk management for the company. Neil also oversaw asset/liability management.

From March 2005 to October 2008, Neil served as Finance Director for Sun Life Financial of Canada. In this role, they were responsible for finance and actuarial for the company. Neil also oversaw investments.

From September 1980 to February 2005, Neil held various roles in finance, M&A, investments, treasury, and strategy at Sun Life Financial and Clarica Life Insurance Company.

Neil Haynes obtained a B. Math. from the University of Waterloo in Actuarial Science / Computer Science. Neil then obtained certification from - in Fellow, Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Fellow, Society of Actuaries.
