Nya Barrow

Nya Barrow, MPH, currently serves as a Board Member for the YMCA of Greater Boston and occupies roles at Avalere Health focusing on healthcare transformation and health economics outcomes research. Nya Barrow is also a Council Member for the City of Boston. Previous experience includes positions as a Senior Researcher in Analytical Development at Allena Pharmaceuticals, a STEM Lead and Chemistry Teacher at Boston Public Schools, and roles in Managed Care Operations & Analysis at Massachusetts General Hospital. Academically, Nya Barrow holds a Master of Public Health from Northeastern University, specializing in health equity, social determinants of health, and urban health, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Spelman College.
