Jacqueline Filis

Jacqueline Filis has extensive experience in social work and program management, currently serving as the Executive Director at the YMCA of Greater New York since January 2011, where significant achievements include a 25% census growth and a 40% increase in program fee collection, overseeing operations for over 5,000 individuals annually with a budget of $3 million. Prior to this role, Jacqueline held various positions within the YMCA of Greater New York Counseling Service Branch, including Program Director for Youth & Teen Services, where new prevention programs were implemented, and therapist positions focusing on adolescent substance abuse treatment. In addition, experience includes serving as a Social Worker for Inpatient Psychiatry at Richmond University Medical Center and earlier roles in counseling and quality assurance. Jacqueline holds a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint John's University.
