Lida Colón

Lida Colón has extensive experience in aquatic education and supervision, currently serving as a Swim Instructor at URBN Playground since February 2018 and at Brooklyn Swims since November 2017, where skills development and water safety education are emphasized. Additionally, Lida has been an Aquatics Deck Supervisor at the YMCA of Greater New York since August 2013, overseeing swim programs for children and managing staff. Previous experience includes working as a Counselor at the YMCA of Greater New York in 2011, focusing on educational activities for young children. Lida holds a Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition from Long Island University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and English Literature from Mount Saint Mary College, along with a PhD in Rhetorics from Syracuse University.
