Michelle Larue

Michelle LaRue has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Michelle served as the Vice President of Experience and later as the Associate Vice President of Experience at the YMCA of Greater Seattle since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties where they held multiple positions including Director of Strategic Engagement, Marketing, and Communications; Chief Member Experience Officer; Senior Vice President of Financial Development, Marketing, and Communications; and Communications Director. Michelle also has experience as a Copy Editor at the King County Journal and as a Lifestyles Editor at The Peninsula Gateway. Michelle has demonstrated their expertise in strategic planning, brand strategy execution, team leadership, storytelling, crisis communications, and brand awareness throughout their career.

Michelle LaRue attended Green River College from 2001 to 2002, where they earned their Associate of Arts degree in General. Michelle further pursued their education at Pacific Lutheran University from 2003 to 2005, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Printing/Publishing.
